A warm welcome is extended to everyone this morning and

especially to any visitors worshipping with us today. We extend a particularly warm welcome to Very Rev Bill Hewitt who will lead us in worship this morning.

There is a Crèche downstairs for wee ones.

Tea and coffee will be available downstairs at the close of the service and we hope as many people as possible will stay and enjoy the chat.

Our Minister, Rev Fiona Maxwell returns from holiday tomorrow.

The Loss Adjusters meets again in the Vestibule on Tuesday of this week at 7.00pm.  This is an opportunity to come together with others who have lost loved ones.  Enjoy a cuppa and chat or just sit and listen

between 7.00pm and 9.00pm. 

Friendship Club will resume on Thursday of this week at 2.00 pm with Fiona McKenzie and the Unlikely Lads.  Everyone is welcome to come along and enjoy music, friendship and a delicious afternoon tea.

Exploring the God Question – Science, God and the Search for Truth – 6 sessions beginning on Thursday of this week, 7.30 pm until 9.00 pm here in Kay Park.

To celebrate we are asking YOU the church family to get involved.  On Sunday 6 October please …

  1. Bring ONE item which we will gift to the Salvation Army in Kilmarnock for their food bank.  Choose from the following list;

Tins: soup, canned fish, all in one meals, veg, beans fruit. Desserts

Packets: tea, sugar, pasta, pasta meals, rice, breakfast cereals, dried fruit

Jars/bottles: coffee, pasta sauces, stir fry sauces, tomato ketchup, brown sauce, jams

Toiletries: soap, toothpaste/brushes, towels, face cloths

Goodies: sweets, biscuits, diluting soft drinks, crisps

  1. Please JOIN us after church for a simple soup and bread lunch where you will be invited to leave a donation for the vital ongoing work of Christian Aid

Blythswood Shoe Box Appeal – you are invited to take part in this year’s Appeal. Leaflets will be available next Sunday.  Start collecting for your box now.  Boxes should be brought to church on Sunday 27th

October 2019.

The Walking Group, covering both Strollers, Striders and Evening Walkers, is having a Dinner on Friday 22nd November at Kilmarnock [Barassie] Golf Club at 6.30pm. Anyone interested should give their names to either Sheila Davies or Bill Caldwell.
